Petit Jean Farm Lamb is the centerpiece of Petit Jean Farm! After 30 years of practice, we have developed a specialty red meat especially valuable for health conscious customers.
Along with the tender delicious taste, your meat contains one half the cholesterol of turkey and is loaded with Omega 3 fatty acid because the lamb is grass fed. Our sheep are rotated to clean pasture at least every week year round.
Customers have been pleasantly surprised to find this lamb has no lanolin to influence taste or cooking aroma. Quality restaurants (including the new Capital Hotel) in many cities serve Petit Jean Farm lamb.
Copperhead Hog Farm is located on Petit Jean Mountain. The owners, Ricky & Meri Pruett, have a wonderful country setting for their pigs. The name was created to distance prospective neighbors to keep the pigs free to roam and graze as they need.
Their pigs live outdoors in a wooded area with access to a barn in bad weather. Their outside living space is rotated to clean ground on a regular schedule. They receive fresh forage as often as possible including Austrian winter peas during winter months, all feed ingredients are natural forms of protein and energy including locally grown corn directly from the farm.
Daley Dairy/Honeysuckle Lane Cheese produces 100% organic raw milk cheese. Our Jersey-cross cows are on pasture year round and eat certified organic supplement only. The milk goes directly from the cow to the cheese vat and then is aged for 60 days. The creamy texture and rich flavor will keep you from buying store bought cheese and cheese substitutes ever again.
The Miller Farm Whole raw milk comes from the Dennis Miller farm just west of Petit Jean Mountain in the heart of Amish country. This milk has been hand-milked (345 squirts/gallon) by members of the Miller family. Their herd is made up of forage-fed (Omega 3 fatty acids) Jersey cows with the top 40% of the gallon jug being cream. Most modern customers have never tasted real milk.
Petit Jean Honey Our raw honey is produced from local plants and flowers so many customers buy the honey for medicinal reasons as well as the rich sweet flavor. Since bees only feed on the best flowers, these busy workers are making pure honey so you can enjoy healthy, energizing honey. The honey barn uses this great tasting honey to make into other products for a variety of uses.
Stutzman's Pantry Tasty, homemade jams made by an Amish family in Belleville, AR. The Amish community is small, but never disappoints with the traditional, homemade food. Just take a taste of the jam and you'll be reminded of the way Grandma's jam tasted.
