Dear Folks,
We have one more delivery day in January – the month of New Year’s resolutions!  When you consider the coming year, how do you intend to make your life and the world around you better?  One of the best ways to do both is to eat more local food!  Grass and forage based meat like ours is high in omega 3s that are good for you and supports a grazing system that is good for the land.  Raw honey and raw dairy products as well contain the beneficial natural enzymes that are lost in pasteurization.  Eating locally ensures that your food is fresh and delicious and also curbs long-distance transportation demands and contributes to national food security.  According to Steven L. Hopp in Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, “if every U.S. citizen ate just one meal a week (any meal) composed of locally and organically raised meats and produce, we would reduce our country’s oil consumption by over 1.1 million barrels of oil every week.”  Wow.  It’s amazing that a menu can be so powerful.

For the Friday, January 30 delivery day, we need your orders by noon on Thursday, January 29.  We will be at the Transportation Plaza in downtown Hot Springs from 12:00 to 1:00 on January 30, and at the Carmona Center in Hot Springs Village from 3:00 to 5:00.
