Dear Folks,
“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” That seems to be the theme I see around me this morning. We are surrounded by glorious and delightful signs of spring. The first sound I heard today was the chirp, chirp, chirping of insistent birds. The white pear blossoms and pink peach blossoms create an absolute bower beside Drury the horse’s gate. On the way to the farthest sheep pasture, I couldn’t resist picking and eating a dew-covered bluet, one of those tiny ground covering flowers. The daffodils, too, are everywhere, looking cheerful and sunny in spite of a few wrinkled petals singed by the earlier snow. It’s as if spring is singing, I will keep trying and trying again!
We are looking forward to all this spring promises to bring. One development on our horizon is an exciting new product – sheep cheese! We are making preparations now and will keep you posted as we get closer to having it available.
As you may have seen, the markets at Hot Springs Village are burgeoning faster than spring flowers. Be sure to stop by the indoor market at the Carmona Center and browse by the online market at www.village.locallygrown.net . The locally grown.net network is truly blossoming as well. With such a variety of places, there is sure to be one convenient for you and your friends across central Arkansas:

Throughout the week, we encourage you to take inspiration from the persistence of spring and from Bob the cat. During this morning’s chores, he tagged along and practiced his tree climbing. He gets a running start at a tree and then hurls himself up it, front feet together and back feet together, like a high-speed oversized furry inchworm. Suddenly he stops, hugging the tree, and maneuvers himself back down. Seconds later, he’s off again, racing toward another tree. Maybe this attempt will take him higher.
May this week take you, too, to even greater heights!
