Dear Folks,
You are troopers! Thank you to everyone who made last week’s market such a success in spite of the rain! Some of you looked like you stepped right off the set of Singing in the Rain . . . at least in spirit. Despite the absolute downpour, the market was a flurry of umbrellas, parkas, tank tops, shorts, and more vendors than ever. We even had some brave souls come out as vendors for their first time. Talk about dedication!
We’re proud to see that villagers and farmers alike are dedicated to the Village Community Market. All the commitments required to make the indoor market happen have been made. We are looking forward to being inside, outside, and online. Village Community Market is officially registered as a community service non-profit, with a board of equal parts customers and farmers.
This is an organization to be proud of. It is quite possibly the only completely volunteer-driven farmers’ market of its kind anywhere. It is certainly the only market around encouraging villagers to participate. And villagers are! What a beautiful and delicious way to be a trendsetter and get to better know and support your neighbors!
We anticipate better weather but every bit as much party at our next market day, this Friday, March 6. We will be at the downtown Transportation Plaza from noon to 1:00 and at Hot Springs Village Carmona Center from 3:00 to 5:00.
